Through the mailbox initiative, ADC President, Leslie Clark, celebrates and addresses Auburn Public School graduates conveying community pride in their achievements, gifting students with a mailbox, and extending an invitation to return home.
Sometimes the question is asked, “Why a mailbox?”
“It’s the perfect item to hold all the well wishes, gifts and goodies donated by local businesses and organizations. The mailbox is also to be a fond reminder of their hometown Auburn. The community values the graduates and is proud of them. Each and every one of them is forever a part of Auburn’s story and a valuable asset to Auburn’s future.”
“Gifting the mailboxes is also ADC’s opportunity to extend an open invitation to our graduates,” said Clark. “We want them to pursue their education and training and to explore and experience all of life’s great adventures, but they are enthusiastically invited back home to Auburn. We have many more great things to accomplish, memories to make, traditions to carry on and new ones to create. The mailbox gifted by ADC is to be a fond reminder of this special place, letting them know they have a place, a future, and a home here in Auburn.
